About

Our Challenge:

“Fathers interrupt life for their children–give life structure and meaning. They do so whether they mean it or not. It either becomes the foundation on which we build a life or the rubble we dig out from under.” – Gary Stanley

The Condition of Men:

  • There is no national Christian voice for men and the issues they face.

  • Today’s men are in a state of “Masculine Meltdown.”

  • There is no compelling vision of a godly man.

  • There is no rite of passage for our boys.

The Condition of Families:

  • Nearly half of today’s marriages end in divorce.

  • Fatherlessness is an epidemic.

  • Almost half of our children wake without their biological fathers in the home.

  • Unequipped, Unemployment and Underemployed men is leading to increased drug and alcohol abuse.

  • Most acts of violence in our communities are committed by young men.

  • Our boys are dropping behind in education.

The Condition of the Church:

  • Men’s ministry is lacking and often non-existent.

  • We have created a biblically illiterate generation.

  • Almost all our young men will leave the church after high school.

  • Only 4% of our youth will know Jesus.

  • Only one-third of men attend church on Sundays.

Our Mission:

Help men live a life of valor.

Our Vision: We see a national movement of men, taking back their authority and claiming their destinies. A nation of men leading in their homes the way God intended. Men healed, transformed, firm in their convictions, Godly men, equipped to live a life of valor.

Our Method:

THREE THINGS we’ve learned from doing men’s events. First, events must produce a spiritual impact on a man, his family, in the community and for the church. Second, it takes teams of men, women, pastors, ministry leaders and business leaders to partner with us. And finally, we go only where God wants us to go. We don’t force it, push it, or beg for it. We simply cast vision, pray and wait on the Lord for an invitation.

We have created a simple “1-2-3 Life of Valor Launch Strategy” to host a LOV Men's Event in your city. We begin by scheduling face-to-face vision meetings with key city leaders who have a heart to impact their city. We then ask them to pray about our “1-2-3 Launch Strategy.”

1 - Inspire a team of Alpha Leaders to raise $30,000 to get us started.

2 - Identify 30 Delta Leaders to connect with 300 churches.

3 - Enlist 300 Platoon Leaders to serve in 300 churches

Navy SEAL Ethos:

IN TIMES OF WAR…Or uncertainty there is a special breed of warrior ready to answer our Nation’s call. A common man with an uncommon desire to succeed. Forged by adversity, he stands alongside America’s finest special operations forces to serve his country, the American people, and protect their way of life. I am that man.

MY TRIDENT IS A SYMBOL OF HONOR AND HERITAGE. Bestowed upon me by the heroes that have gone before, it embodies the trust of those I have sworn to protect. By wearing the Trident I accept the responsibility of my chosen profession and way of life. It is a privilege that I must earn every day. My loyalty to Country and Team is beyond reproach. I humbly serve as a guardian to my fellow Americans always ready to defend those who are unable to defend themselves. I do not advertise the nature of my work, nor seek recognition for my actions. I voluntarily accept the inherent hazards of my profession, placing the welfare and security of others before my own. I serve with honor on and off the battlefield. The ability to control my emotions and my actions, regardless of circumstance, sets me apart from other men. Uncompromising integrity is my standard. My character and honor are steadfast. MY WORD IS MY BOND.

WE EXPECT TO LEAD AND BE LED. In the absence of orders I will take charge, lead my teammates and accomplish the mission. I lead by example in all situations. I will never quit. I persevere and thrive on adversity. My Nation expects me to be physically harder and mentally stronger than my enemies. If knocked down, I will get back up, every time. I will draw on every remaining ounce of strength to protect my teammates and to accomplish our mission. I am never out of the fight. WE

DEMAND DISCIPLINE. We expect innovation. The lives of my teammates and the success of our mission depend on me – my technical skill, tactical proficiency, and attention to detail. My training is never complete. We train for war and fight to win. I stand ready to bring the full spectrum of combat power to bear in order to achieve my mission and the goals established by my country. The execution of my duties will be swift and violent when required yet guided by the very principles that I serve to defend. Brave men have fought and died building the proud tradition and feared reputation that I am bound to uphold. In the worst of conditions, the legacy of my teammates steadies my resolve and silently guides my every deed. I WILL NOT FAIL!

Our Statement of Faith:

THE BIBLE
I believe that the Bible was divinely written through men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is the source of truth about God and the standard by which we receive instruction for life, faith, and leadership. (Mark 7:8-13; John 5:46; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)

GOD
I believe that there is only one true and living God. He eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (John 5:32-37; John 10:30, 36; John 14:16-26; Philippians 2:6; Isaiah 48:16)

JESUS
I believe that Jesus Christ was born to a virgin named Mary through the Holy Spirit. In His incarnation He was fully God and fully human and lived a sinless life. He was vindicated as the Messiah by His resurrection from the dead and now sits at the right hand of God waiting for His second coming. (Matthew 1:18-25; Romans 8:3; John 1:1-14; 1 Timothy 3:16)

HOLY SPIRIT
I believe the Holy Spirit indwells a Christian at salvation and daily fills him/her for effective service. He is the active personality in convicting individuals of sin and in maturing believers in their faith.  (John 14:14-17; John 16:5-15; Acts 1:6-8)

MAN
I believe that man was created in the image of God and willfully violated the command of God, bringing physical and spiritual death. This willful act of disobedience is known as sin and that since its origin all human beings are born with sin and are separated from God. (Genesis 1:26, 27; Romans 5:12)

SALVATION
I believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice. He was victorious over death and was raised to life so that all who believe and personally accept His life, death, and resurrection are justified before God and will have eternal life with God in Heaven. We believe that the salvation of sinful people is by the grace of God through faith alone in the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Matthew 27:45-56; Romans 3:21-31; John 3:14-17)

CHURCH
I believe that the church is the only hope for this world and consists of those who have professed Jesus as Savior and are bound together in the faith and fellowship of the gospel. (Acts 2:40-47; Matthew 28:20)
